Macho Man Randy Savage

My brother Sika and I were very sad to hear the news this morning that our longtime friend Randy Poffo a.k.a. Macho Man Randy Savage, passed away. Our hearts go out to his family and friends, as well as the wrestling community. We sincerely pray that his wife gets through this tragedy the best way that she can.

We knew Randy and his family for many, many years, and one of his very first matches--if not his very first-- in Detroit, Michigan was in a tag team against my brother Sika and me. I remember Randy was fresh out of school, was a good baseball player, but decided to follow in his father's footsteps and become a wrestler.

I enjoyed being in the WWE with him at the same time in the early 1990s, we shared so many good memories. He was one of the biggest and hottest stars the WWE ever produced. Rest in peace, my friend. I know that you are in good company in that great big wrestling ring in the sky. May your journey to Heaven be a peaceful one, and know that your legacy will live on forever.

Afa The Wild Samoan received a call today from WWE officials inviting Afa's nephew Sean Maluta to it's Tampa, FL developmental camp December 13 through the 17th. Maluta was one of the four men who had a recent try out at the November 22 Monday Night Raw. Maluta began his wrestling training under his uncle at the age of 14. He is a top high flyer cruiserweight and can be seen exclusively at WXW wrestling.

MINNEOLA, FL – WWE made its debut at the new Amway Arena in Orlando, FL Monday, November 22nd and WXW was well represented. Along with WWE Hall of Famer Afa The Wild Samoan, top WXW Superstars were on hand to show their talents to WWE Management. WXW Superstar wrestlers Mark Silva, Sean Maluta, TNT Mottley and WXW Ring Announcer Chris Russo all tried out before Monday Night Raw last night. In addition, all four men participated in the live Monday Night Raw event as security chasing John Cena and the Nexus out of the arena!

Afa “The Wild Samoan” is very proud of his students and how they performed. Their hard work and training at The Wild Samoan Training Center has certainly paid off. Afa has always said The Wild Samoan Training Center will “Train You, Brain You, and Make Fame of You”. Now these WXW Superstars will march forward and see if the WWE wants to sign them to Developmental Contracts.

Luna Vachon

It was a very sad moment in my family this morning when I received news that we lost Luna Vachon, who I referred to as "My Angel". I remember when she was just in a young girl at 13, traveling with her family. She was good friends with my kids, they all grew up on the road together. We shared so many good times, and I was so proud of her and her career and accomplishments in this business. We remained close for over three decades, and she was very important in my life as well as in my family's life. She always referred to me as "Papa Samoa", and I was proud to call her my "daughter". Whenever she had problems or would get in trouble, she would always call me to alert me before it hit the Internet. One of the times that I can remember with a smile is when she beat up the tour leader in the Bahamas, and at 2:30 a.m. my phone rang and the first thing she said was "I'm sorry Papa, but...I did something you're not going to like." When I asked what she did, she replied "I beat somebody up. Well I AM part Samoan!" and laughed.

I'm one of the very few people who she listened to, which is why she called me when she'd get in trouble. Although she went through a hard life, she was always able to pull herself together. When things started to fall apart, she would always have me to call on.

My love and prayers go out to Luna's mother and the entire Vachon family, her sons, the wrestling world, and everyone who knew and loved Luna. I will personally miss her, and am so sad that she has left us so soon. But like all the others, I know she has a place up in Heaven.

Jimmy and Jules Uso are the sons of Afa's nephew Solofa Jr. Fatu a.k.a. Rikishi. Tamina, who was trained at the world-famous Wild Samoan Training Center under the guidance of uncle Afa, is the daughter of Hall of Famer Superfly Jimmy Snuka. She was the first recipient of the prestigious Lia Maivia Scholarship from Usos- The Samoan Family Foundation.

Wild Samoan and his Family Invited to World Premiere of "Letters to God" Movie

The red carpet world premiere gala of inspirational film "Letters to God" welcomed several high society figures, including WWE Hall of Famer Afa the Wild Samoan, his wife Lynn, and daughter Vale, accompanied by Carol Sennello, and mayor David Yeager. This star-studded event at the beautiful Old Mill Playhouse theater in The Villages was invite-only.

"Letters to God" is a deeply moving, inspiring true story about a young boy's unshakable faith despite the loss of his father, and his own terminal cancer. His bravery changes the lives of everyone he encounters. The Anoa'i family are no strangers to the tragic struggle of a loved one with cancer, and were immensely touched by the hopeful message of the film, and recommend it very highly.

Quote from Afa- "When the movie was over, you have tears in your eyes, but you just feel so good and uplifted, and you feel the doors of your heart open. It makes you want to reach out to touch someone's life and be an inspiration like this boy was. God is good all the time."

The Wild Samoan Training Center - 2010 Discount Tuition offer!!

Minneola, FL – In celebration of over three decades of teaching, the Wild Samoan Training Center, Inc. operated by WWE Hall of Fame legend Afa “The Wild Samoan” is offering a discount tuition on his world famous training center.

WSTC students have gone on to realize their dream of being WWE superstars. Some have even gone on to become Hollywood stars. The center's most recent student, Sarona Snuka, has signed a WWE developmental contracts after only training for three months.

The Wild Samoan Training Center gives back!
Between March 17 and Wednesday, March 31, 2010 prospect students will have the opportunity to join the Wild Samoan Training Center for half off of the tuition.

To join, students must be between the ages of 18 to 35 years of age and must furnish the training center with a physical and doctors release.No prior wrestling training experience is required. About the Training Center

The Wild Samoan Training Center, Inc. was founded over thirty years ago by WWE Hall of Famer Afa "The Wild Samoan". It was in Pensacola, Florida that the now world-famous facility first began to train and assist in making the dream of becoming a pro wrestler a reality. Over the years while The Wild Samoan himself was living his own dream as a pro-wrestler, Afa continued to train and assist with careers of other hopefuls and as he traveled the world, he moved the training center to Connecticut and later to Pennsylvania so that he could always have a hand in helping others. Throughout the thirty years, many have passed through the ropes of this training genius who has earned the name "POPS" by those who know him best.

Afa's own brother Sika was his first student, and together with Afa formed the original extreme tag-team known as "The Wild Samoans". They held 21 tag titles including being the first team to hold the WWE tag belts three times. The blood line of some of Afa and Sika's family who make up the Samoan Dynasty includes: The Great Samu, Rikishi, the late Umaga, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Haku, Jimmy Superfly Snuka, Afa Jr, Tonga Kid, The Black Pearl, L.A. Smooth, Rosey, Toa Maivia, Sean Maluta, Kava, Kid Breeze, Sarona Snuka and the late Yokozuna. About WXW (World X-Treme Wrestling)

The training camp is the place where it all begins. It starts in the classroom, and it is later through WXW Wrestling that his students get to shine as the upcoming starts of tomorrow in the WXW teaching federation. WXW is proud to offer a women's league that offers women athletes the chance to showcase their talents on their own all-women events.

Afa developed WXW Wrestling to offer a "training promotion" where his students and up and coming wrestlers could perform to gain crowd exposure and TV experience through these live events. The Wild Samoan Training Center and WXW Wrestling has trained thousands of students, and not only to wrestle. Other areas include: managers, valets, ring announcers, referees, camera and editing personnel, creative writers, promoters, security, and marketing skills. Afa has offered his students worldwide experience, including being part of Wild Samoan Training Center wrestling clinics that took place in Italy and Austria. Others have traveled the globe entertaining our troops on military tours to such places as Egypt, Afghanistan, Guam, Hawaii, Samoa, Japan, China, Pakistan, and Alaska.

Being the best trainer has its rewards. Afa was scouted by world renowned movie director Darren Aronofsky to train the actor Mickey Rourke for the movie "The Wrestler", which won the highest award- The Golden Lion, at the Venice film festival. The movie was purchased by Fox Searchlight Films and was released in theaters in December 2008.

Wrestling legend Afa "The Wild Samoan" Anoa`i, along with his daughter Tovale and wife Lynn, visited Grassy Lake Elementary School as part of the "NEA's Read Across America" program. Pictured below- Ms. Walter's and Ms. Sena's 5th grade classes enjoy Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham, which was read by Vale with fun interaction from Afa.

The Wild Samoan is the founder of Usos Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 organization that offers positive, alternative choices to the negativity that is in our children's reach. The at-risk youth programs challenge our youth and helps build their self-esteem, mind-body-spirit connection, and sense of worth.

Afa says that: "Education is the best tool that we can give to our youngsters, and I'm happy to volunteer my time to give back to the community any way I can."

Afa's daughter Vale is an actress, and author of four books, who began reading at the young age of two. She has been passionate about books ever since, and loves to share her love for reading with others, especially children.

Each student received an autographed picture of the Wild Samoan, and had the opportunity to hold his WWE Hall of Fame ring as he generously passed it around the room.

On behalf of my family, the Anoa'i and Fatu family, we are devastated and shocked by the loss of our Eki. Our son, nephew, brother, cousin, husband, father. Our hearts are broken, and words can't express what each of us are feeling. It is so comforting to know how loved Eki is by his family, peers, friends, and most of all his fans. When I received that a.m. phone call that my nephew was in the hospital, I dug deep and prayed and cried and begged for a miracle. When we lost Eki, I knew it was God's will, and that he is with my sister, his mother, who passed just a year ago.

We are making our plans now for our farewell to Eki, but I wanted to take this time to thank everyone for all of the thousands of posts, emails, letters, and cards. Although I have not been able to bring myself to answer them personally, your kindness does not go unnoticed. I want to especially thank our WWE family and Stephanie McMahon for everything, and her phone call was very comforting to me in my time of sorrow.

God bless each and every one of you, and I've said it a hundred times, the best people in the world are our wrestling people. You'll never find a more dedicated group of people.

WWE Hall of Famer “SUPERFLY” JIMMY SNUKA Visits the Wild Samoan Training Center! WSTC Featured on Batista WWE DVD!

MINNEOLA, FL – It has been a great three weeks of training for students of the Wild Samoan Training Center (WSTC) and WXW Stars! First WWE Hall of Famer (and THE ROCK’s Father) ROCKY JOHNSON and former AWA World Tag Team Champion PAT TANAKA stopped by the Training Center. Then this week, WWE Hall of Famer and legend “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka came to the WSTC to train! Snuka stepped in the ring and immediately began to hone the skills of the WSTC students! The legend stepped in to the ring with some of WXW talent such Sulu Afi, G.Q. Banks (formerly known as KAVA), Sugaa, WXW Heavyweight Champion Dylan Night, WXW TV Champion C.J. O’Doyle, Richard J. Criado “The Perfect Creation”, LACE, WOLF, TNT Motley, and Brett Thunder. These WXW Stars and WSTC students were honored to have trained with Jimmy Snuka, Rocky Johnson, and King Haku this week!

Nowhere else in the world can you find the diversity of training as you can at the Wild Samoan Training Center! Professional Wrestling Legend Gives Back

Afa Anoai along with his brother Sika are known in the world of pro wrestling as the world famous tag team "The Wild Samoans." The brothers shared a 40 year career entertaining their fans. In 2007 they were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at pro wrestling's largest event Wrestlemania.

The Wild Samoan Training Center, Inc. was established 22 years ago. Over the years Afa "Pops" as he was respectfully nick named by his students, has trained many men and women who have gone on to become wrestling's most successful superstars. Afa's family tree includes the likes of the late High Chief Peter Maivia, Superfly Jimmy Snuka, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Samu, Rikishi, the late Yokozuna, the Tonga Kid, the Black Pearl, L.A. Smooth, Afa Jr, Rosey, Umaga and many others who have followed in the family business. Afa was also personal wrestling trainer to the actor Mickey Rourke who was nominated for an Oscar for his work in the movie "The Wrestler".

Once students complete the training program they then move on to the next level of training which is on live wrestling events hosted by WXW Wrestling. Events take place locally at the Recreation Center located in Minneola City Hall and the Leesburg Armory. Afa's greatest achievement is the work that he and his wife Lynn do through the Usos Foundation which is a 501 (C) (3) organization that offers other options for at-risk youth. Through the program students receive more then "top of the line" skills to become a wrestler, the school also provides various traits and skills in other areas which include: self-esteem, the mind-body-spirit connection, public relations, experience in filming, photography, editing, journalism, script writing, sales, marketing, and other entrepreneurial skills. All of which are skills that can be used in the business world, since many of these kids will not have the option of attending college. Usos Foundation is hosting a charity fund raising banquet Thursday, August 6th to benefit the programs offered through the foundation. The black tie event will feature celebrity wrestling legends, dinner and dessert, scholarship presentation, silent auction and top of the line Polynesian show. ABOUT AFA THE WILD SAMOAN

Afa Anoai is one-half of the legendary tag-team “The Wild Samoans”. Along with his brother Sika, they held twenty-one titles including being the first team to hold the WWE tag belts on three occasions. At WWE’s biggest event Wrestlemania, the Wild Samoans were crowned Hall of Famers for their thirty plus years of dedication and contributions to the sport of pro wrestling.

LEESBURG, FL -- Afa "The Wild Samoan" will open his training camp to the best of the trained Independent wrestlers for a special evaluation by WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis. The 5-Day clinic will start on Tuesday, June 23 and conclude on Saturday, June 27th. Mr. Laurinaitis will attend the Friday, June 26th session to assess talent.

Detailed and complex drills and training sessions will be held all week during the camp. Classes will be facilitated by none other than WWE Hall of Famer Afa The Wild Samoan himself. Also providing instruction will be former WWE and WCW Star HAKU, ring veteran Ricky Santana, Wild Samoan graduate a WXW Heavyweight Champoin Sugaa & The Perfect Creation.

This training camp is a way for you to upgrade your knowledge and experience, while receiving guidance from over 100 years of combined wrestling experience.
